The ILB launched to recover a person who had fallen into the harbour from the East Pier. While on passage the ILB met the Howth Yacht Club launch which had recovered the person. The launch landed the survivor at the boathouse and the lifeboat crew administered first aid until the arrival of an ambulance which transferred the person to hospital.
