Howth RNLI receive generous donation

Howth RNLI were presented with a cheque for over €7k by Howth Yacht CIub this week. The amount was raised from the proceeds of the Fastnet Memorial Lunch, which was held at the club last December.

The lunch was attended by over 140 people to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Fastnet Race disaster. Local Artist Robert Shaw kindly donated a painting which was auctioned on the day. The painting fetched €2,500 for Howth Lifeboat. A raffle was also held in aid of the charity that saves lives at sea.
